Terms of service

1. Scope

These terms of service govern sales made by Hartley & Grey ("we", "us") to any consumer ("you"). Placing an order implies acceptance of these terms. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

2. Products

The essential characteristics of each product are set out on its product page. Photographs are as faithful as possible but are not contractually binding.

3. Prices

Prices are shown in pounds sterling, inclusive of VAT where applicable. We may change prices at any time; products are invoiced at the price in force when the order is placed. Any advertised discount is calculated against the lowest price charged during the previous 30 days.

4. Orders and payment

An order is confirmed once payment has been authorised, via secure payment providers. We reserve the right to refuse any order that appears abnormal or fraudulent.

5. Delivery

See our Shipping policy for processing and delivery times. If delivery is delayed by more than 30 days after the stated date, you may cancel the order and receive a full refund.

6. Returns and right to cancel

You benefit from our 60-day returns policy, in addition to your 14-day statutory right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Details are set out in our Refund policy.

7. Statutory rights

All products come with your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015: goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose.

8. Liability

We shall not be liable for any failure to perform our obligations caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
